My Hair Journey

My Hair Journey

My hair journey began during the pandemic—times were uncertain, beauty stores were closed, and I found myself with nothing but the tools and knowledge I could lay hands on. Was it necessity, or had I finally reached my breaking point after years of chasing one pricey product after another, hoping something would work for my frailly hydrated strands?

Over the years, I'd tried everything—from affordable finds to luxury imports, products labeled “intensely repairing,” to the most adored viral TikTok faves—yet nothing could rescue my hair. It was dehydrated, brittle, unresponsive to moisture. My hair felt rigid, stiff, and beyond salvage..

One day, my mother reminded me of the remedies she used on me and my sister—simple, organic, effective—and how these practices were passed down through generations in our family. She said it was time to try those roots before I lost all my hair and went broke. That moment felt like a turning point.

My hair wasn't absorbing anything. I decided to begin with a Ancient Home Made hair mask, using ingredients sourced from my local farmers' market. I realized then that most beauty supply products merely gave temporary, superficial relief—they masked the damage instead of fixing it.

So I started slow: a homemade hair mask once a month, then twice. I began noticing a spark of change—the botanical ingredients were working their magic. Soon after, I added a daily hair tonic to my scalp and began hair oiling once a week.

I like to compare scalp health to the foundation of a plant’s growth—healthy soil leads to healthy growth. Choosing to ditch processed, factory-made products, I opted for handmade, natural blends.

There’s a reason why so many cultures use similar ingredients—just in different combinations: time-tested, effective, natural. I tried them all, trusted the most effective ones, and now, I’m thrilled to share this journey with you.

Even during a time of grief—when I experienced significant hair loss—my herbal routine saw me through. I restarted, found my strength, and reclaimed my hair’s resilience once again.

Cultures Never Lie

There’s a reason different cultures lean on the same natural hair-healing ingredients: they work. (They just work.) I tested the lot, stuck with what worked, and now—prepare for the reveal—I’m passing it on to you.
